    Post your Microsoft Automatic bios Update Hardware ID`s

    Some of the newest laptops have the capability to automatically update the bios from Microsoft update.
    If its enabled there will be Hardware ID listed in device manager under

    Firmware - System Firmware - Details - Property - Hardware ID`s - UEFI\RES_

    Example: UEFI\RES_{5E28725C-AA01-4AAA-9E44-414B5EE2EA44}

    Entering the hardware ID {without the curly brackets} at https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx
    will show a list of available updates.The downloads are cab files,they can be extracted with winrar or 7-zip.
    Each extracted cab will have an inf file and an update capsule. Check the inf to make sure it has the same hardware ID.The update can be installed on a runnig machine,at your own risk of course,or used to fix a bios dump by hex editing.
    It can be a useful way to find new and older updates.

    Post your hardware ID`s with the laptop make and model number ,for example:

    Samsung NP950QDB

    UEFI\RES_{5E28725C-AA01-4AAA-9E44-414B5EE2EA44}

                Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
                by mikeybass
                Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

                Update bios EFCN58WW to EFCN59WW for solving The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter

                I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15imh05a device that I bought used online. It came with a 20V 8.5A 170W charger.

                The BIOS version is EFCN58WW.

                When I turn on the device, it displays the message:
                "The Connected AC adapter has a lower wattage than the recommended AC adapter..."

                The device rarely charges the battery, and even when it does, it doesn't show that it's charging.

                I've tried

                Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Bios Update Issue
                by ahmypc
                The device that has not received an update for a long time cannot update the new ME Region. That's why touch doesn't work. Bios file cannot be opened with Flash Image Tool. Additionally, I am attaching the update file downloaded to the device and the original bios file. I would be glad if you help....

                BIOS update wont complete - Dell Latitude 7420
                by Julian Bailey
                Hi all

                Anyone come across this issue where a BIOS flash will only part complete?

                It will update the system BIOS and Primary EC BIOS fine but fails to update the Intel TBT Retimer, Intel TBT Retimer 2 and ME Firmware.

                NVMe m.2 drive isnt detected in the BIOS, but you can get into the BIOS fine and it all works in there as intended.

                The drive works fine in another laptop.

                Link to a video I made of what its doing here:

                Any ideas on how to overcome this?

                Cheers...
